;) Thanks. I will screencap Cassie’s answer. I kind of freaked out yesterday. It all started with a post about the Lightwoods. It looks like Alec and Izzy are the only Lightwoods to carry on the name, but 1. Alec is gay and 2. Izzy is a girl.
I mentioned Jace and how he can carry on the name but then people pointed out that he is the last Herondale so PANIC! Because obviously I want more Lightwoods AND Herondales ;)
That the Herondale name is basically dead. The only one left is Jace and he goes by Lightwood (I will assume that if he were to have children they would also be given the Lightwood name)
I asked Cassie on twitter and she told me to send this question on tumblr so I think she will reply.
